Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare for refuelling tasks
- Equipment is inspected for serviceability and prepared for operation in accordance with workplace procedures
- Refuelling site is established in accordance with workplace procedures and given directions
- Safety equipment is selected and used during refuelling operations
- Fuel products are handled in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and safety procedures
- Fuel is tested for product contamination.
- Contaminated product is quarantined and reported to supervisor
- Occupational health and safety (OH&S) requirements and recognised safety precautions are applied throughout the operation in accordance with standard procedures
- Environmentally sustainable work practices are identified, assessed and implemented where feasible
- Perform refuelling operations
- Vehicles and equipment are earthed prior to commencement of refuelling operations
- Refuelling tasks are conducted in accordance with workplace procedures
- Refuelling equipment is operated in accordance with manufacturers' instructions
- Refuelling operations are monitored and faults are rectified or reported in accordance with workplace procedures
- Emergencies/incidents are responded to in accordance with emergency response plans
- Finalise refuelling operations
- Refuelling equipment is shut down in accordance with manufacturers' instructions
- Refuelling equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and workplace procedures
- Refuelling documentation is compiled in accordance with workplace procedures
- Other fuel products are issued in accordance with workplace procedures
- Refuelling equipment is packed away in preparation for re-deployment
- Refuelling site is refurbished in accordance with organisational environmental policies and procedures
